Three Crows fly over
cawing, you don’t belong here
as I walk into the further
A Chipmunk dives into its hole
as it catches sight of my long shadow
backlit by a beautiful sweet light sunset
as I walk into the further
Trees wave with their leafy hands
as an incoming breeze clears the air
they appear to be on my side
as I walk into the further
The Merganser hurries her brood
quickly alerted to my presence
as harmless as I am she takes no chance
as I walk into the further
A Doe and her twins cross my trail
as mother looks back to ensure safety
her babies follow schooling in progress
as I walk into the further
I feel I belong but others may differ
I’m drawn to Nature an unbreakable bond
sacred to my soul it will never be broken
as I walk into the further and beyond…
